The PK25 Dakhla Hotel’s water sports centre is located right next to the hotel on the edge of the lagoon.

This spot does not have any dangerous areas which makes learning to kitesurf, windsurf and wingfoil very easy and progress is very fast.

The PK25 Dakhla kitesurfing centre is open all year round and offers both kitesurfing, windsurf and wingfoil courses and last season equipment rental.

All the instructors are passionate about kitesurfing and IKO/VDWS certified and teach in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

The centre offers its clients 3 rescue boats constantly in operation to assist in case of need. They also have staff on the beach to assist clients with the raising and lowering of the kite.

The nautical centre also offers different alternative activities to kitesurfing and windsurfing such as wakeboarding, surfing, SUP’s, kayaking, fishing, etc.

KITESURF LESSON

The PK25 Dakhla Hotel’s centre is staffed by qualified IKO/VDWS instructors. Courses are mainly in English, French, Spanish and German. All equipment is from the latest Cabrinha season.

  • Semi-private course: This is ideal for those of you who are interested in progressing quickly. It is a course with a maximum of 2 people per instructor.  The complete equipment is included: wetsuit, harness, helmet, life jacket, kite and board during the hours of the course. It is recommended for beginners and intermediate level.
  • Private course: It is ideal for those who want to make the most of their learning time. It is a totally personalised course (one instructor – one student). A complete equipment (wetsuit, harness, helmet, lifejacket, board and kite) is included during the course hours. This course is recommended for all levels but mainly for advanced level, jumps and children. Children under 15 years old can only book a private course.

 

No refund for early bookings. In case of insufficient wind conditions the centre will offer alternative activities such as surfing, SUP, kayaking, etc. or if you prefer you will be given a voucher for the remaining course hours to be used over a period of 3 years. Vouchers are not offered for equipment hire.

KITESURF RENTAL

PK25 Dakhla’s centre offers rental of high quality equipment from the renowned Cabrinha brand. Depending on the wind conditions you can rent kites from 5m to 14m.

All renters are entitled to free use of kayaks and SUP’s. Equipment rental is only available for hotel guests!

To rent kitesurfing equipment you need to have an advanced level (sailing in both directions and upwind without difficulty). 

No reimbursement for early bookings. In case of insufficient wind conditions the nautical centre will offer alternative activities such as surfing, SUP, kayaking, etc. or if you prefer you will be given a voucher for the remaining course hours to be used over a period of 3 years. Vouchers are not offered for equipment hire.

CANCELLATION POLICY

No-show : 100% of the price of the stay.

Cancellation 7 days before the arrival date : 100% of the price of the stay.

Cancellation 8 to 15 days before the date of arrival : 50% of the price of the stay.

Cancellation 16 to 30 days before the arrival date : 30% of the price of the stay.

Cancellation +30 days before the date of arrival : 20% of the price of the stay.

SECURITY PACK

The Safety Pack is compulsory for all clients travelling with their own equipment and includes the following services:

-Private locker for your equipment.
-Access to the automatic compressor.
-Access to the nautical centre facilities (changing rooms, showers, water to clean your equipment).
-Help to raise and lower the kite.
-Rescue boat.

Price 9€ per day/person.

Promotion 6=7 (one day free only for kitesurfing).

Warning: The rescue boat is not dedicated to rescue people without sufficient level to go upwind, nor to pick up boards. If you are not sure of your level, ask us for advice on how to take a course, we will be happy to advise you.

The storage of material is under supervision, however, the nautical centre is not responsible for any theft, loss or damage caused.

FAQ

-Prices are per person.

-All courses include all equipment for the duration of the course.

-Kitesurfing/windsurfing equipment hire includes kite, bar, board, leash, wetsuit, harness, helmet and impact waistcoat.

-Payment methods accepted: cash (€ or DHS) and credit cards (NO AMEX).

-Rental only board/kite/sails -30% discount on the standard price of the full equipment rental.

-Insurance not included in the standard equipment rental price.

-All courses are given by IKO/VDSW certified instructors.

-1 lesson = 2 hours for kitesurfing.

-1 lesson = 1 hour for windsurfing.

-The rescue boat is not suitable for rescuing people without sufficient level or who do not know how to ride upwind.
