The Rihfly kitesurfing centre is located inside the Dakhla Attitude hotel, in the wider area of the lagoon called Punta del Dragon. This kitesurfing spot does not have any dangerous areas which makes learning to kitesurf and windsurf very easy and progress is very fast.
RIFLY is the largest kitesurfing centre in Dakhla and has very large and well maintained facilities. The Dakhla Attitude Sailing Centre is open all year round and offers both kitesurfing/windsurfing courses and equipment hire.
The centre has CABRINHA equipment for kitesurfing enthusiasts. For windsurfers, the equipment is NP for the sails (Combat, Dragon Fly, Speedster and Wizard) and JP for the boards.
All the instructors at Rihfly, who are passionate about kitesurfing and windsurfing, are IKO/VDWS certified and teach in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
The nautical centre offers its clients 2 constantly operating rescue boats to assist in case of need. They also have staff on the beach to assist clients with raising and lowering the kite.
Rihfly also offers different alternative activities to kitesurfing and windsurfing such as wakeboarding, surfing, SUP’s, kayaking, fishing, etc.
KITESURFING COURSES
The Rihfly kitesurfing centre at the Dakhla Attitude Hotel has qualified IKO/VDWS instructors. The courses are mainly in English and French, but there are also instructors who speak German and Spanish. All equipment is from the latest Cabrinha season.
Semi-private course: This is ideal for those who are interested in progressing quickly. It is a course with a maximum of 2 people per instructor. The complete equipment is included: wetsuit, harness, helmet, life jacket, kite and board during the hours of the course. It is recommended for beginners and intermediate level.
Private course It is ideal for those who want to make the most of their learning time. It is a totally personalised course (one instructor – one student). A complete equipment (wetsuit, harness, helmet, lifejacket, board and kite) is included during the course hours. This course is recommended for all levels, but mainly for advanced level, jumps and children. Children under 15 years old can only book a private course.
WINDSURFING COURSES
Dakhla Attitude has opened a new Freak windsurfing centre in mid-December.
The instructors are certified, passionate about windsurfing and speak different languages.
You can do group, semi-private or private courses adapted to all levels.
Group course: Ideal for groups of friends, it is a course for a maximum of 4 people with 2 complete windsurfing equipment. Each student is provided with a wetsuit, harness, helmet and lifejacket for the duration of the course.
Semi-private course: This is ideal for those of you who are interested in progressing quickly. It is a course with a maximum of 2 people per instructor. EQUIPMENT RENTAL
KITESURF
Dakhla Attitude’s Rihfly kitesurfing centre offers high quality equipment rental from the renowned Cabrinha brand. Around 100 kites and 75 boards of different sizes are available for rent. Depending on the wind conditions you can rent kites from 5m to 14m.
All renters are entitled to free use of kayaks and SUP’s. Equipment rental is only available for hotel guests!
To rent kitesurfing equipment you must have an advanced level (sailing in both directions and can go upwind without difficulty).
WINDSURF
At the Freak Windsurfing Centre in Dakhla you can rent high quality windsurfing equipment; JP for the boards and NP for the sails.
In case of insufficient wind conditions the centre will offer alternative activities such as surfing, SUP, kayaking etc. or if you prefer you will be given a voucher for the hours/days of tuition and equipment hire which will be valid for a period of 3 years.
To rent windsurfing equipment you must have an advanced level (sailing in both directions and upwind without difficulty).
